This Privacy Policy explains how Layout Computer (“the app”) collects, uses, and protects your information.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate and improve the app.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Authentication-related data

Authentication and account management are handled by Supabase. Passwords are never stored directly by this app.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe.

  • We do not store your credit card number or full payment details
  • Stripe may collect information such as your name, billing address, and payment method
  • We receive from Stripe limited information such as your subscription status, the last four digits of your card, and billing email address

Usage Analytics

We use Mixpanel to understand how the app is used and to improve its features.

  • No analytics cookies are used
  • A unique identifier may be stored in your browser’s localStorage
  • Collected data may include pages visited, actions taken, device and browser type, and approximate location

Analytics data is used only to improve the product and understand usage patterns. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.

Error reporting

We use Sentry to collect error messages within the app. This data is used only to improve the product.

How Your Information Is Used

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the app
  • To authenticate users and manage accounts
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To improve functionality and usability
  • To monitor performance and reliability

We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.

Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, your data is processed based on:

  • Contract – to provide the service you sign up for
  • Legitimate interests – to understand and improve how the app is used

Data Storage and Security

Data is processed and stored using trusted third-party services, including Supabase, Mixpanel, and Stripe. Reasonable technical measures are taken to protect your information, but no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Analytics data is retained according to Mixpanel’s default retention settings. Payment and subscription data is retained by Stripe according to their retention policies and applicable financial regulations. You may request deletion of your account at any time.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
